Investigations by Starr News has revealed that the group known as Ghana First Contractors Association have been economical with the truth regarding their allegations against Ghana First Limited.
Though the contractors claim that their contract says they will be paid after doing 60% of the work, a copy of the contract sighted by Starr News reveals that the clause in the contract documents only talks about what amount their employers (Ghana First) should pay them in the course of work.
The clause indicates,” the employer reserves the right to pay the contractor 60% of the total cost” and not the claims that if they do 60% work they should be paid.
The main clause of the contract indicates that the contractors will only be paid 3 months after work is done and the project handed over.
Several claims by the group have been contradicted by documents sighted by Starr News. For instance, the claims that they have done 60% work has been disproved by videos that prove otherwise.
Other documents also show that some of them have received various sums of money from Ghana First ranging from thirty-thousand to fifty-thousand cedis.
