The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ada constituency, Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe Ghansah, has been captured distributing chewing gums to both the Majority and Minority Members of Parliament as the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta presents the 2020 Budget Statement.
Hon. Ghansah is spotted moving from chair to chair, distributing the chewing gums to ‘half sleepy’ MPs who eagerly stretched out their hands to receive the chewing gum.
The move by the legislator is to prevent the MPs from sleeping and pay full attention to the Finance Minister while he reads his statement on the floor of parliament.
The 2020 Budget and Financial Statement is expected to entail proposals that seek to make projections for economic policy, consolidate economic gains achieved so far, and seek approval for public expenditure.
