The Energy Ministry has asked Ghanaians to brace themselves up for unstable power supply following the grave challenges bedeviling the power sector.
A statement released by the Ministry yesterday announced an end to the interrupted power supply momentarily, effective Monday, February 27, 2017.
The statement, however points to more difficult times ahead in power situation as consumers may face occasional power setback in the interim until the country moves to a sustainable state of power supply.
A blunt statement of fact by the Ministry said :”Dumsor did not end with the election of a new government” albeit the earnest efforts to retire the unstable power supply.
“Even though we have adequate generation installed capacity, only half is available due to various technical and financial challenges,” the statement said.
The Ministry said it will therefore make public regular operational updates of the power situation to ensure transparency in the state of affairs.
