ECOBANK performance pushes Accra bourse up

Accra, Sept. 15, GNA - Major gain in the share price of newly enlisted Ecobank Transnatinoal Incorporated (ETI) pushed up the Accra bourse on Friday, but shares traded were low.

The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the main benchmark, gained 10.49 points at 4,911.50 from 4,901.01 points. Shares that changed hands were only 61,500.

On the broader market there were three price changes, all gains. ETI gained 100 cedis at 22,600; Ecobank Ghana Limited gained one cedi at 11,841 cedis and AngloGold Ashanti Depository (AADS) gained one cedi 3,001 cedis.

Market Capitalisation crossed the 100,000 billion cedis mark at 111,249.06 billion cedis.
