EMG in talks with CBOD over Ghana Energy Awards

The management of Energy Media Group (EMG), publishers of Energy Ghana magazine has called on Chamber of Bulk Oil Distribution Companies (CBOD) in Accra.

The visit was to inform the CBOD management about the upcoming Ghana Energy Award which is expected to take place in December 2017 and also to present the Energy Ghana magazine to Mr. Senyo Hosi, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CBOD.

Briefing the management, Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Media Group, Mr. Henry Teinor expressed appreciation to the management of the CBOD for their support.

According to Mr. Teinor, the award is long overdue. ‘Our main concern is not about making profits but the Ghana Energy Award is to recognize the efforts of the industry players.’ He noted

He said the Ghana Energy Award is aim at celebration the tremendous work of the players within the energy sector.

"It's also to bring together the stakeholders in the energy industry to deliberate on issues affecting the sector," he added.

The CEO of CBOD, Mr. Senyo Hosi recognized the importance of the award and how it will strengthened and encouraged the industry players to live up to expectations.

"The award must be legitimate to be accepted by all stakeholders. Let the industry players be part of the award and let them feel they own it," Mr. Hosi stated.

He mentioned that if all these are achieved, the award will be one of the best in the country.

He pointed out that the industry players are facing with a lot of challenges and they need to be supported to address these challenges.

Even though, Mr. Hosi did not mentioned the challenges, he was of the view that award like Ghana Energy Award can shape the sector and also brings discipline among the sector players.

"We are solemnly behind you and pledged our fullness support," he mentioned.

He pledged their support towards the upcoming Ghana Energy Award .
