Accra, April 2, GNA - The GSE All Share Index, the benchmark measure of the Accra bourse, leaped by a whopping 220.48 points on the back of three equity gains.
Ecobank Transnational, Ghana Commercial Bank and Fan Milk Limited all appreciated to push the index up to close at 8,065.58 points from 7,844.78 points at the previous close on Tuesday. Change for the year to date now stands at 22.21 per cent. Traded volumes slumped to 492,900 shares from 13,449,800 shares. On the broader market there were three price changes, all positive. Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, the second most highly capitalised stock, gained 0.10 GH cedis at 1.70 GH cedis, GCB was 0.01 GH cedis better at 1.32 GH cedis and Fan Milk Limited gained 0.01 GH cedis at 2.87 GH cedis.
Market capitalisation closed the session up at 14,097.07 million GH cedis from 13,959.52 million GH cedis.
