ETI leads rally on bourse

Accra, March 26, GNA - The GSE All Share Index, the benchmark measure of the Accra bourse, jumped a whopping 383.82 points, propelled by gains in Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, the second most capitalized equity.

The index rallied to close 7,604.45 points up from 7,220.63 points at the previous close on Tuesday.

Change year to date now stands at 16.22 per cent.

Traded volumes rose to 472,100 shares from 258,600 shares on Monday. On the broader market there were eight price changes - six positive and two negative.

Ecobank Ghana gained 0.04 GH cedis at 2.60 GH cedis, Enterprise Insurance Company was up 0.01 GH cedis at 1.80 GH cedis and Ecobank Transnational Incorporated went up 0.16 GH cedis at 1.50 GH cedis. Other gainers are Ghana Commercial Bank, which went up by 0.08 GH cedis at 1.30 GH cedis, SG-SSB was up 0.01 GH cedis at 1.49 GH cedis and Unilever gained 0.01 GH cedis at 2.22 GH cedis.

On the other hand GOIL lost 0.02 GH cedis to close 0.25 GH cedis and State Insurance Company went down 0.01 GH cedis to close at 0.37 GH cedis.

Market capitalisation ended the session stronger at 13,802.54 million GH cedis compared to 13,563.22 million GH cedis on Tuesday.
