In what can be described as rare, Pan African bank, Ecobank Ghana Limited has launched promotion to reward ‘customer loyalty’ and at the same time boost deposit mobilization.
According to Alfred Sekyi, Head of Marketing and Production, the Pan African bank is embarking on “the Ecobank Win Big Promotion” because “our customers have supported us tirelessly to make us number one in Ghana and we need to reciprocate their kind gesture.”
The promotion, to be supervised by the National Lotteries Authority (NLA), encourages existing and prospective customers of the bank to open and or deposit money into their Savings or Current accounts to qualify for a mini draw at the end of November and a grand draw after January 2013.
Customers would automatically enter the competition if they are able to pay in fresh deposits from GH¢250 and also avoid withdrawals from their accounts during the period.
Lucky winners for the grand draw are expected to pick up either Mercedes Benz C Class Sports, BMW 1 Series (Twin Power Turbo), 3D 55inch Cinema TV together with Blue Ray cordless home theatre set or Living room together with dining furniture set.
The mini draw would allow customers to win prizes such as Blackberry phones, home theatre sets, gift vouchers, laptops, iPads LCD TV sets and iPhones.
Launching the package in Accra yesterday, Mr Sekyi said the promotion would take place across Africa where the bank operates and added that they have put in place “solid” IT system to manage the draws.
“We do not want anybody to be shortchanged that is why we are involving the NLA to supervise this promotion.”
He said that Silver Star, Mechanical Lloyd, Somotex and Orca Décor are the bank’s collaborators for the promotion.
Raymond Fordjuor, the bank’s Business Manager in charge of West Africa Monetary Zone, attributed Ecobank’s transformation to the loyalty of customers.
