Joseph Boahen Aidoo, CEO of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD), has urged all cocoa farmers to observe the measures outlined against the COVID-19 outbreak.
He urged the farmers to ensure social distancing when going to, and also working on their farms and also to regularly wash their hands.
Mr Boahen Aidoo indicated that cocoa farmers are dear to heart of the COCOBOD, hence the need to keep reminding them of the measures to protect themselves against the deadly virus.
In video message to the farmers, he said: “I will like to appeal to all the cocoa farmers to ensure social distancing, don’t hug and don’t shake hands.
“Wash your hands thoroughly and regularly and also cough into a tissue.”
He also said : “Go to the hospital if you are unwell. We need you all alive.”
