Fidelity Bank shows allegiance to Otumfuo and national development

Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited, the CIMG Bank of the Year, has reiterated its strong commitment to partnering the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei-Tutu II and key institutions towards developing the nation.

A statement from the Bank to the Ghana News Agency disclosed that the Bank as a headline sponsor to chair the World-Meets-in-Ghana Investors’ Forum, to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Asantehene had positioned itself to support national development.

It said it was also ready to support Otumfuo’s initiatives towards national development through targeted community dialogue and engagement.

According to the statement, Mr Edward Effah, the Chairman of the Fidelity Bank Group addressing participants at the forum said: “We are delighted that we are a partner in the organisation of this landmark Investor Forum, promoting investments in Ghana and Asanteman in particular.”

“This Investors’ Forum is part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the reign of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. Our partnership with him and the people of the Ashanti Kingdom will further deepen our relationship through community engagement and significant investment in socially impactful projects,” he said.

Mr Effah according to the statement said the united efforts of the Bank and the Asantehene would help to change the lives of the vulnerable in the society and help Ghana to develop beyond aid.

The Asantehene encouraged investors to invest in businesses in the country to generate revenue for the state, the statement said.

“It is not a vision for the faint-hearted. It is bold. It is brave. It is a vision that deserves support, not only from Ghanaians but from all her friends across the world.”

Fidelity Bank, over the years, had facilitated numerous developmental projects in different sectors of the economy including the energy, housing and health sectors and was also highlighting its commitment to the local and national development of the country.
