First Capital Plus Bank has been awarded 1st Runner-up in Customer Care at the 14th Ghana Banking awards held in Accra.
First Capital Plus Bank, which currently has 18 branches nationwide, entered the awards for the first time after it was granted a universal banking licence in August 2013.
First Capital Bank is also noted for innovation, and was the first financial institution to introduce an SMS-based cash deposit solution. The bank attributes this feat to the launch of a revitalised customer service charter in the first quarter of last year, aimed at deepening the bank’s commitment to the delivery of superior customer-focused solutions.
Its growth trajectory from a Savings and Loans Company to a universal bank has equipped it with the needed skills required to understand and deal effectively with the peculiar needs of customers, the majority of which are SME clients.
The CEO of FCP Bank, Rev. Fitzgerald Odonkor, said the award is only a step in the bank’s quest to deliver excellence, and that the bank has currently positioned itself to break new frontiers in the coming year.
He thanked customers for the award, and stated that FCP will not relent in its efforts to continue evolving and developing more innovative customer-centric solutions.
