The American magazine which publishes the list of the richest people in the world has told Accra based citi fm; it will investigate further the wealth of some rich Ghanaian individuals for their next edition.
Forbes’ latest report on Africa's richest individuals did not feature any Ghanaian but saw Nigeria’s Aliko Dangote topping the chart for the second consecutive time.
There were about 11 more Nigerians on the list while 12 more came from South Africa. There were also 8 from Egypt and 5 from Morocco.
Forbes, in a communication with the Accra based radio station explained that the reason no Ghanaian was found in the latest report was that none was found to have a net worth of up to about $400 million.
Senior Editor at Forbes, Kerry Dolan said her outfit could not find any Ghanaian across the world with even $300 million in any listed company too.
Forbes says following some suggestions from Ghana, it will monitor closely, names like Togbi Afede XIV, business man and owner of Africa World Airline and the Asogli Power Plant.
Other names that came up also had Dr. Kofi Amoah another business mogul and Alhaji Asuma Banda, business man and owner of Antrak Air.
