Fuel shortage looms as the Black Oil Storage runs dry

The Ashanti, Brong Ahafo and the Northern regions could face an acute fuel shortage as the major depot in Kumasi runs out of petrol.

The Buck Oil Storage and Transportation Depot which supplies fuel to several regions has been without petrol for days now.

A number of tanker drivers have been left stranded at the company. A staff of the company in an interview with XYZ News’ Ashanti Regional Correspondent, Isaac Bediako Justice, said on condition of anonymity that the situation is getting out of hands.

He has called on the government to put pressure on the suppliers to ensure that the situation is brought under control.
