Kojo Addae-Mensah, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) Limited, says the bank is on the verge of reclaiming its position as the most profitable and best performing bank in Ghana.

He said after laying a strong foundation and introducing the right mix of modern products and services, as well as improving customer service and conditions in its banking halls, GCB was bound to satisfy both customers and non-customers.

Speaking at the opening of the new premises of the Ejisu branch of the Bank, Mr. Addae-Mensah said the bank was committed to providing the best in service for all.

The relocation to the new branch near the Ejisu Police Station was informed by the increase in customer base, fast rate of development and the need for improved facilities. GCB has been operating in Ejisu for about 48 years uninterrupted.

The COO announced that the bank would open news branches in selected business and market centres in the next few months, adding that some existing branches were being refurbished and others relocated into more spacious and convenient environments to meet the needs of customers.

He urged customers of the bank to use the alternative channels of service available such as the improved ATMs, SMS and Mobile Banking, among others to enjoy expedited service.

George Ackorful, Kumasi Area Manager of the bank, described the relocation exercise as exciting, saying the old premises did not befit the status of the bank.

He said it was the collective responsibility of the bank and the entire public to ensure that GCB derives maximum benefit from its investment and services.

Dwomo Dua-Agyemang, Retail Manager of the Ejisu Branch of GCB, advised all customers of the Bank to take advantage of the bank’s debit cards namely Readycash and MasterCard as well as its SMS and Mobile Banking services.

Apostle Godwin Osei-Bonsu, Ejisu-Konongo Area Head of the Church of Pentecost, prayed that the bank would continue to grow and flourish nationwide.

Emmanuel Yevenyo, Head of Branch Operations and Business Support Department, said GCB’s systems had improved tremendously, which resulted in the introduction of new products and services for customer satisfaction.
