Accra Sept 12, GNA- The Global Media Alliance (GMA), a Media and Marketing consulting company, on Thursday signed an agreement with the Right To Play (RTP) Ghana, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) to provide marketing and strategic advisory service to RTP. Under the agreement, GMA will act as counsellor and strategic guide to RTP.
This was contained in a release issued by both organizations in Accra.
The release said Mr. Ben Gherardi, Communications Coordinator for RTP, hopes to tap on GMA's expertise and experience to effectively communicate the advantages of using sport as a delivery system for health messages.
It said Mr.Akwasi Agyeman, Business Director of GMA emphasized that the company was happy to add RTP to its list of partners, including Turner Broadcasting Systems (CNN, TCM and Cartoon Network), SABC WHUT, METRO TV, Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, the Ghana News Agency and others.
It said RTP has been in Ghana since November 2001, and the first activity that it performed was the five and one vaccination festival that brought Olympic Champion Marion Jones to host a nation-wide sport and Immunization festival.
Since that time, RTP has been implementing programmes in several regions throughout Ghana and is currently running a programme in the Greater Accra Region with Catholic Action for Street Children (CAS) and the Teshie Orphanage.
RTP has been working with the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the Accra Training College to implement sports and programmes within school curriculum, the statement said. 12 Sept. 03
