A delegation from the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce ( GNCC) led by the Chairman, Nana Appiah Agyei Dankawoso paid a courtesy visit to the manufacturing plant of one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in the country, Ernest Chemists Limited.
The visit which according to the Chairman is to familiarize themselves with the production process of its members and encourage them is going to be a monthly norm.
“As the leadership of the private sector, from time to time every month we select as a new way of encouraging entrepreneurs we select and visit one business to encourage and support them”.
According to him, the Chamber will be in better position to engage government to support the private sector when they know from firsthand the challenges and struggles entrepreneurs go through.
“In this direction, we will be able to see how best we can also engage government to support some of these private companies in the quest of employing more people which is also to support the transformation agenda of the government".
Ernest Chemists Limited in its quest to compete globally is putting up over 10 thousand square meter pharmaceutical plant which is estimated to cost about $50 million.
