Accra, Sept. 22, GNA - The Ghana Shippers’ Authority is to established the fourth Shipper Complaints and Support Unit at the Aviance Cargo Village at Kotoka International Airport(KIA) in Accra.
The other three located at Elubo and Aflao borders and Takoradi Port have been in operation for the past two years.
Plans are advanced to open similar units at other entry points for importers and exporters.
A statement issued in Accra on Thursday said the unit would be inaugurated on Wednesday, September 28.
It said the units were being established following increasing requests by shippers for its presence at all the entry points of all the modes of transport that serve Ghana’s international trade, namely, road, sea and air.
“The units enable the Authority to provide real-time assistance to shippers who use the entry points by finding solutions to problems confronting them in the course of their business transactions,” it added
