GSE All-Share Index moves up in brisk trading

Accra, Feb. 8, GNA - There was brisk trading on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) on Friday when 3,934,600 shares were traded with Fan Milk Limited (FML) selling 3,607,400 of them while 291,800 of Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) shares also changed hands. The GSE All-Share Index, the main market indicator, moved up by 12.81 points to 6,745.87 points from 6,733.06 points on Thursday. The change year to date was 2.21 per cent.

On the broader market the SIC Insurance Company (SIC) shares continued to appreciate by GH¢ 0.0051 to close at GH¢ 0.3601, while FML also gained GH¢ 0.0100 to close trading at GH¢ 2.6700 Market capitalisation went up to GH¢ 12,531.14 million from GH¢ 12,522.97 million on Thursday.
