GSE All-Share Index shoots up

Accra, Jan. 16, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, main market indicator, on Friday shot up by 15.88 points to close trading at 6,696.00 points on the gains of two bank equities. Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Limited (SCB) gained GH=A2 0.5000 to close trading at GH=A2 26.6000, while Cal Bank Limited (CAL) went up by GH=A2 0.0060 at GH=A2 0.4660.

Change year to date also went up to 1.46 per cent from 1.22 per cent on Thursday.

Total shares traded went down to 225,200 shares from Thursday's 913,000 shares. For the second day running, Ayrton Drug Manufacturing Limited sold 100,000 shares. Market capitalisation went up to GH=A2 12,430.29 million from GH=A2 12,420.55 million on Thursday.
