GSE All-Share index falls

Accra, June 25, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange benchmark, the GSE-All Share Index, fell on Monday on a rare loss registered by Ecobank Transnational Incorporated.

The index closed down by 8.07 points at 5,292.68 points from 5,300.75 points on Friday. Change for the year slipped to 5.73 per cent. Shares that changed hands doubled to 2,179.900 from 1,024,100 with CAL Bank selling 2.242 shares and gaining 54 cedis in the process. There were four price changes, three up and one down. CAL Bank gained 54 cedis at 2,700 cedis, SG-SSB was 30 cedis better at 7,550 while Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited was one cedi up at 9,534 cedis. Ecobank Transnational Incorporated was 50 cedis poorer at 11,600 cedis. Market capitalization ended the session lower at 114,727 billion cedis from Friday's close of 114,775.05 billion cedis.
