GSE All-Share index rises on CAL Bank gain

Accra, July 11, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange (GES) All-Share Index, the main stock gauge, went up in trading on Wednesday on a good performance by CAL Bank. The index gained 7.76 points at 5,333.81 points from 5,326.05 points.

Change of the Year to date was better at 6.55 per cent from Tuesday's close of 6.39 per cent. There were five changes, all positive.

CAL Bank continued its positive run with 0.0281 GH cedis gain at 0.3091 GH cedis, Ecobank Ghana was 0.0002 GH cedis at 1.4562 GH cedis, Ghana Commercial Bank was better by 0.0004 GH cedis at 0.6820 GH cedis, Unilever gained GH cedis 0.0005 cedis at GH cedis 1.9025 and Anglogold Ashanti Depository Shares was better at GH cedis 0.0010 at 0.3430 cedis. Total shares that changed hands ended at 448,300 from 34,800 on Tuesday. Market capitalization ended the session at GH cedis 11,497.88 million cedis from Tuesday's close of GH cedis 11,493.24 million.
