GSE All-Shares Index continues its impressive performance

Accra, June 23, GNA - The GSE All-Share Index of the Accra bourse continued its rise when it gained 16.84 points to close midweek trading.

The index rose to 7,025.81 points on Wednesday from 7,008.97 points at the previous close.

The change year to date stood at 97.72 per cent. Total shares that changed hands rose at 239,100 shares from as low as 99,600 shares at the previous close on Monday.

On the broader market, six positive price changes were recorded. Guinness Ghana Limited, the highest gainer had 200 cedis to close at 12,400 cedis; Unilever went up 100 cedis at 21,200 cedis; Cocoa Procession Company (CPC), gained 15 cedis at 1,940 cedis; Fan Milk Limited got 5 cedis at 7,610 cedis; SG-SSB made two cedis to close at 31,752 cedis and Accra Brewery Limited went up one cedi at 1,101 cedis. Market capitalisation was up to 96,909.48 billion cedis from 3,321.08 million issued shares compared to 96,866.33 billion cedis from the same number of shares on Monday.
