GSE begins week in positive territory

Accra, July 23, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange began the week in positive territory with the All-Share Index, the benchmark gauge, inching up by 0.3 points to close the day at 5,359.25 points from 5,358.95 points.

Total shares that changed hands began the week at 533,100 with CAL Bank selling 446,300 shares while change for the year was 7.06 per cent. There were five price changes, all positive.

Ecobank Ghana Limited gained 0.0001 GH cedis at 1.4811 cedis, Enterprise Insurance was also 0.0001 GH cedis better at 1.0501 GH cedis, Ghana Commercial Bank gained 0.0005 GH cedis better at 0.6845 GH cedis, SG-SSB made 0.0005 GH cedis at 0.8910 GH cedis and Standard Chartered Bank also gained 0.0005 GH cedis at 18.0630 GH cedis. Market capitalization began the week at 11,514.33 million GH cedis.
