The Ghana Stock Exchange All-Share Index, the benchmark index of the Accra Bourse, continued its steady rise on Friday although shares that changed hands dropped by more than half.
The index, which leapt during mid-week trading by 19.65 points, was up by 1.63 points to end the week at 1,714.75 points from 1,713.12 points.
Change for the year also rose to 22.89 per cent.
There were three price changes, all positive.
Fan Milk Limited was 191 cedis better off at 2,200 cedis; Ghana Breweries Limited rose by four cedis at 631 cedis and SSB Bank climbed by one cedi at 6,621 cedis.
Market capitalisation ended higher at 7,677.85 billion cedis from Wednesday's 7,673.88 billion cedis.
