GSE inches up on PZ gain

Accra, Aug. 23, GNA - The GSE-All Share Index, the key market gauge, inched up on Monday on a 400-cedi gain by Paterson Zochonis (PZ) in quiet trading that saw only three price changes - one up and two down.

The index went up by 0.76 points to close at 7,467.47 points from 7,466.71 points.

The change to date now stands at 110.15 per cent from 110.13 per cent on Friday.

Total shares traded slumped to 227,900 from 1.4 million shares on Friday during a block sale by Accra Brewery Limited.

Market capitalisation ended higher at 98,154.05 billion cedis from 98,152.13 billion cedis.

On the broader market, PZ gained 400 cedis at 4,500 cedis, Clydestone lost 100 cedis at 1,500 cedis and Guinness Ghana Limited was down by 50 cedis at 12,700 cedis.
