To make students loan repayment easier, the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has partnered GT Bank to deploy the bank's electronic platforms for the repayment of students loan at no extra cost.

Nana Kwaku Agyei Yeboah of the Students Loan Trust Fund said it is their quest to transform the Fund into a world-class institution, and they chose the GT Bank due to their proven record in using technology to enhance customer experience.

He said since its establishment in 2005, the SLTF has transformed lives and made it possible for many brilliant students to achieve their dreams of pursuing tertiary education.

He disclosed that over 100, 000 Ghanaian students have benefited from the SLTF loans that have been utilized in paying tuition fees, hostel fees, buying books and computers as well as making life on campus more bearable in a myriad of ways.

“Each of these beneficiaries is a more productive citizen of Ghana because of the assistance given by the Trust Fund” he stressed.

He noted that with the implementation of the Free SHS policy, many youth would have the opportunity of obtaining higher qualifications and government is aware of supporting the students with financial assistance from the SLTF.

“Government and the SLTF are putting in place strategies that will guarantee funding for the increased numbers, and need the support and cooperation of all stakeholders if the Fund is to remain viable and sustainable” he said.

He urged all borrowers to dial *737*206# and follow the prompts. He added that online payments could be made throughmyghpay.com or by downloading the myghpay App at Playstore or Appstore and follow instructions.

Borrowers in the diaspora can also pay with Visa or Master Cards using myghpay.

The Managing Director of GT Bank, Thomas John Atta said the application is free and can be done in comfort of homes and on the mobile phone.

He hinted his appreciation for such initiatives and considered it as a privilege.

He also assured students that GT Bank would be there always to assist them repay their loans and be free for other also to benefit.
