Ghana Kasapa rebrands to Expresso

Mon, 18 Oct 2010 Source: --

Ghana CDMA operator has rebranded to “Expresso”, a trademark already used by Sudatel’s units in Senegal. The Sudanese group acquired Kasapa from Hong Kong based Hutchison in 2008. Kasapa had the country’s smallest subs market share in 2Q10, 1.2%, as it struggles to attract customers from competitors’ GSM networks to its CDMA network. Sudatel also has mobile footprints in Sudan, its home market, Mauritania (Chinguitel), Nigeria (Intercellular) and Guinea republic (Intercel).
