Ghana Link Network Services Ltd., operators of the Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS), has denied claims that the platform was down since Friday, March 6, 2026, causing fuel supply disruptions.

The allegations, reportedly made by Star Oil, suggested persistent technical challenges with ICUMS were responsible for shortages at some filling stations.

In a statement issued on March 9, 2026, Ghana Link described the claims as “false, misleading, and wholly without basis.”

“The ICUMS platform has remained fully operational, including throughout the period referenced in the said statement,” the company said.

“At no point has the system suffered any outage of the nature being alleged,” it added.

Ghana Link added that following internal monitoring, it has engaged the National Petroleum Authority and confirmed that the issue did not relate to ICUMS but to the Enterprise Relational Database Management System (ERDMS) of the NPA.

Ghana Link expressed disappointment over the allegations, stating that they “misinform the public and unfairly cast doubt on the integrity and reliability of a critical national trade facilitation platform.”

The company also called on Star Oil to “immediately withdraw the statement and issue an unqualified public apology.”

Ghana Link reaffirmed its commitment to “maintaining the highest standards of operational reliability, transparency, and stakeholder support” in the delivery of ICUMS.
