Accra, Dec. 6, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) slid in trading on Tuesday on a loss by Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) that pushed the stock index further into the red as the year draws to a close. The GSE All-Share Index, the main index, ended lower by 0.43 points at 4,792.53 points from 4,792.96 points on Monday.
Change for the year also slid to -29.51 per cent.
There were two price changes, one up and one down.
GCB closed seven cedis poorer at 6,740 cedis while Enterprise Insurance Company was four cedis better at 6,855 cedis. Market capitalisation was poorer at 91,919.48 billion cedis from 91,920.54 billion cedis on Monday. Shares that changed hands rose to 70,100 from 24,400 on Monday.
