On behalf of the Ghana Travels Ltd I would like to offer my apologies to my customers and suppliers for the delay in responding to the press coverage of the companies financial situation but it has been vitally important that I gathered evidence in support of my facts and had the opportunity to take legal advice.
You will find attached the Director?s Statement that I made earlier today in the matter of the insolvency of Ghana Travel Ltd. Also attached is a copy of the initial statement provided to the Insolvency Practitioner this morning that has been reviewed by my council. Under his advice I am told that Ghana Travel Ltd have a very good case against Flyjet for a breach of contract and recovery of substantial losses. With the support of the Insolvency Practitioner we will look to take the appropriate action against Flyjet.
Finally, in order to assist the Ghanaian government with their enquiries we have prepared a briefing paper that covers all aspects of the issues between Ghana Travel and Flyjet. This includes the sources of public information that supports our claim that Flyjet Ltd does not have a fit and proper operation to continue to provide air services into Ghana.
May I take the opportunity to thank all of those who have provided me with the much needed support and reassure them that I will be making every possible endeavour to re-establish myself as soon as possible.
