Ghana Water Limited (GWL) says it has resolved electricity power supply issues at the Kpeve Water Treatment Plant (WTP), which had affected water supply from the plant.

The Kpeve Plant, along with two others — Agordome and Kpando Water Treatment Plants — was affected by a power supply issue between May 2 and May 3, 2025.

Ransford Nii Djan Amoo, Volta Regional Production Manager of Ghana Water Limited, stated in a press release: “The power supply issues previously affecting water production at the Kpeve Water Treatment Plant have been fully resolved.”

He said the Kpeve WTP experienced unbalanced phase voltages at its system termination from 16:00 hours on May 2, 2025, which temporarily halted water production.

“Following diligent efforts by personnel from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), the issue has been successfully resolved, and full water production operations resumed on May 4, 2025, at 19:45 hours.”

Amoo expressed GWL’s appreciation for the public’s patience and cooperation during the disruption, adding that the company remains committed to providing continuous and reliable water supply services.
