Ghana bourse sluggish, but picks up from 1999 low

ACCRA, June 14 (Reuters) - The Ghana Stock Exchange was still sluggish on Monday, with only one share price changing, but the all-share index managed to pick up marginally from the 1999 low touched on Friday.

The index added 0.45 point to 793.29, pushed up by a 10 cedi rise in bank SSB to 1,810.

The index was depressed on Friday by a sharp 1,404 cedi fall in rival bank Standard Chartered, which was unchanged on Monday at 22,499.

Total volume was just 40,600 shares worth 38.17 million cedis ($15,250).
