The Senior Director of Corporate Communications at Hapag-Llyod, Nils Haupt has hailed Ghana’s economic growth describing it as impressive.
He said the impressive growth was due to the political stability, legal reliability and economic stabilization as well as improvement in physical balances.
According to him, Ghanaians should be proud of the economic growth they have achieved over the years as that is a beacon to attract more investors into the country.
Mr Haupt also urged the country to be strong on it exports as that will be beneficial to the country’s growth.
Mr. Haupt made these comments when he spoke to GhanaWeb on the sidelines of a press conference organised to celebrate the official opening of Hapag-Llyod’s new office in Tema.
“Ghanaians should be proud of what this country has achieved in the past years. When shipping lines open offices in countries, that means there is a stable economy. So the growth in Ghana is impressive and the growth is ongoing".
"So in terms of export but also on import that shows that there is an economy which is pretty stable and this makes it interesting for all companies who work in logistics to transport the goods either to the country or from the country. So people from Ghana should take care of this growth which is continuing, they should work hard on being a very strong export nation as well as on consumption”, he said.
