Ghana to host second Embassy Fair

Ghana is to host the second edition of Embassy Fair from June 25 to 26, 2013 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

A statement issued by Precise Marketing Solutions, organisers of the fair, said the event would bring together embassies and diplomatic organisations accredited to Ghana, and educate the public on their services and programmes.

“The event is a one stop shop where the general public will have access to information on the various services and programmes offered by the diplomatic missions based in the country”, it said.

The fair, which is officially supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, would support and promote the Millennium Development goal eight (8), a global partnership for development.

The statement said it would also create a platform for the diplomatic community in Ghana to showcase their work and contributions to the country’s socio-economic development.

It said the maiden edition of the fair held in 2012 brought together over 10 diplomatic missions and organisation accredited to Ghana and attended by over 2,500 people.

According to the statement, the fair created the opportunity for the public to seek information on Trade and Investments, Visa and Travel Advise, International Education Information and development programmes.
