Ghana to participate in Wharton Business Forum

Accra, Nov. 9, GNA - Ghana has been invited to participate in the 13th edition of the Wharton African Business Forum Programme in Pennsylvania, United States of America.

A statement issued in Accra on Wednesday by Wharton Africa Business said the Forum would feature business, academic and political leaders and address strategies for capitalizing on African business opportunities, the overlooked role of the tourism and sports industries in Latin America and the argument for the re-establishment of a close relationship between China and India.

The Business Forum scheduled for November 18 to November 19 would be held concurrently with a focus on Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America.

Speakers at the Forum include Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, Minister of Private Sector Reform, who would be speaking on: "Africa: Unveiling the Value, Demystifying the Risk".

Other speakers would be Mr Hans-Paul Burkner, Chief Executive Officer of the Boston Consulting Group and Jairam Ramesh, a member of the Indian Parliament.

The conference would open with a screening of the award-winning documentary: "Africa: Open for Business".

Other topics include: "Fuelling Sustainable Growth"; "The Mystery of Capital"; "Private Equity in Africa"; "Entrepreneurship and Leadership; Energy in Africa"; "Real Estate in Africa" and "Re-Branding Africa Through the Media".

Building on the conference theme, this year's event would explore how individuals are successfully navigating Africa's business terrain and employing strategies to uncover and capitalize on the vast opportunities that Africa presents.
