Ghana's Deputy Ambassador to China Dr Charles Dwamena has urged Ghanaian Importers / Traders not to limit themselves to buying goods from abroad and selling but also venture into manufacturing or industrialisation gradually.
Dr Charles Dwamena said manufacturing of goods is done in stages hence one can start by importing semi-finished products from abroad and convert those semi-finished products into finished goods in Ghana and eventually become full-scale manufacturers.
This according to Dr Dwamena, who also doubles as an aspiring National Treasurer of the NPP will lead job creation and transfer of technology and help reduce unemployment in the country.
He said the Ghana Embassy in China is ready to offer any possible assistance to Ghanaian entrepreneurs to venture into manufacturing in Ghana.
Commenting on the fight galamsay in the country he said strict enforcement of the law is the solution to the problem. He said some Chinese who are involved in galamsay in the country couldn't have done so without the support of Ghanaians.
