Ghanaian to explore Chinese automobile industry

Accra, April 23, GNA - Mr Justice Essuman, Head of Sales and Marketing Manager of Sneda Motors Limited is to undertake a 14-day special motor distribution training course in China.

The training is to boost the Ghana-China trade relations and to meet the increasing demand for Chinese vehicles in the West African sub-region, statement issued by Sneda Motors in Accra on Sunday stated. The statement said Mr Essuman would also attend seminars on Chinese automobile information technology, explore and encourage four Chinese companies, which have declared their willingness to establish an automobile assembling plant in Ghana.

The companies are Great Wall Automobile Holding Company, Dong Feng Motor Industries, Chery Automobile and FYM Motorcycles. Mr Essuman, who is also the Acting Human Resources Manager of Sneda would visit and take part in workshops in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, and Shanghai, Nanchang, Hangdzou, Beijing all in China on care and strategic means of owning a vehicle in an economical and efficient manner.

The Sneda Marketing Manager have, been working in the automobile industry since 1981.

The statement explained that the course was necessitated by the crave for Chinese vehicles by Ghanaians, which are relatively cheaper, durable and compact for the local terrain.

Sneda was established to foster automobile trade links between Ghana and China and to explore the West African sub-regional market of about 250 million people and deals in Chinese trucks, FYM motorcycles, Chery saloon cars, pick-ups and station wagons.
