Ghanaians rush for new cedis notes

Takoradi, July 4, GNA - Many people cued in front of banks within the Sekondi/Takoradi metropolis on Tuesday to exchange old cedis notes for new ones.

A lot of people, including school children, could be seen exchanging their old cedi notes for the new ones at the Ghana Commercial Bank and the Agricultural Development Bank.

At visit to the ADB the banking hall was filled to capacity and the ATM machine was out of order.

The Pro-Credit Bank, National Investment Bank, Prah, Ahantaman Rural banks were all filled to capacity.
