Goldstar Air to use Diamond Hanger at London Stansted Airport

Goldstar Air, indigenous Ghanaian airline has been offered Diamond Hanger which is a certified repair station at Stansted Airport for its maintenance and operational works.

Diamond Hanger is the second biggest Hanger in Europe and will initially serve as a repair station and a training school for the company´s employees.

The Chief Executive Officer of Goldstar Air; Eric Bannerman, in a telephone conversation from London told this reporter his company is satisfied with facilities of the Hanger and where it is situated which is North London.

According to the CEO, Goldstar Air will later build a Hanger in Tamale and will use it as a training school for Ghanaians and other African nationals, the Hanger he said will as well serve as a certified repair station to accommodate small and wide body aircrafts.

“We are grateful to Mr Philip Bayne, the Chief Executive of Diamond Hanger Limited at the Stansted Airport. We have negotiated for many things to be used at the facility including fuel which will be $1.59 as of today and has assured us of any assistance and also urged us to treat the facility as our own,” Mr Bannerman expressed.

Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer of Goldstar Air, John Ashon Mettle has hinted that the company is accepting application for country managers for French, Arabic, and Chinese speaking countries. He added that Ghanaians who will be selected will be trained at the Diamond Hanger in London to represent the airline in other destinations.

Goldstar Air will be embarking on international flights to London, Baltimore Washington, Guangzhou, as well as Dubai.

The airline will also embark on some regional flights to Banjul, Dakar, Conakry, Monrovia , Lagos, Abuja, and Freetown.
