Grand Sales 2014 Co-Locating with made in Ghana Fair Launches

The minister for trade and industry, Dr. Ekow Spio Gabrah has launched the Grand Sales 2014 Co-locating with made in Ghana fair at the Ghana International trade fair center la-Accra. The theme for the event title “Bringing buyers and sellers together “as a consumer fair aims at boosting both internal and international trade especially to promote Ghana’s exports and to create employment. According to the minster the event has being segmented to allow for easy identification of products and services. Dr. Spio Gabrah stated that the friar offers numerous opportunities for national growth and integration, business building relationship, promotes trade, exchange linkages. And innovation, improves competitive vitality, and above all stakeholders a platform to interact with industry and economic operators. To promote made in Ghana Goods the minister emphasis on president mission which is to embark on a national campaign aimed at encouraging Ghanaians to patronize made in Ghana goods and services. He said this because, this year fair which is being organize by the Ghana Trade fair company limited in support of his Excellency President John Dramani Mahama’s campaign of encouraging the patronage of made in Ghana goods and services is commendable. This he said also aimed at supporting government’s efforts to promote import substitution. Dr. Spio Grabah touched on the decline of the cedi against other major world currencies Government is satisfied that in recent times the cedi has stabilized. It is by changing the pre3fernce and taste for foreign goods to the patronage of Ghana Made in goods and se4rvices that we will reduce the quantum of the imports and arrest the p0re3ssure on the cedi over major world currencies and also create the needed employment for the people in this country. He stated that the effort made by the organizer to expand this year’s Grand Sales to co-locate with this important event, which is made in Ghana Fair. This he said will gain serious attention in the international exhibition industry, because the concept allows for creation of bigger platform for exhibitors visitors and trade buyers to converge and transact one stop shop business activity. The fair is expected to attract not less than 25,000 visitors and over 400 exhibitors to converge at the trade fair center during this pre-xmas fair in order that they can take advantage of the Christmas season to patronage goods and services for the festival period. The fair is slated from 15th -24th December, 2014 at Ghana international Trade Center La- Accra.
