Accra, (Greater Accra) 29 Oct. The Home Finance Company (HFC) Series 'B' Dollar Housbond Offer which opened in September this year registered a 12.4 per cent over subscription. According to the results released by the company in Accra today, total subscription amounted to 2.2 million dollars instead of the minimum subscription target of 1.1 million dollars set by the company. Corporate bodies bought bonds valued at 2.1 billion cedis while individuals purchased 59.3 million cedis The offer was for the subscription of two million dollars housing bonds (Series B Housbond) which opened from September One, 1997 to October 17, 1997. The release said the seven per cent Series 'B' Dollar Housbond will commence trading on the Ghana Stock Exchange on Monday, November 10, 1997. It said there were 55 applications over the period while 22,480 bonds were sold.
