House Approves Budget of Three Ministries

Accra, Dec. 13, GNA - Parliament on Wednesday approved budget estimates for a number of Ministries for the 2007 fiscal year announced in the budget on November 16, 2006. An estimate of 3.878 trillion cedis went to the Ministry of Health; 1.479 trillion cedis to the Ministry of the Interior; 216.771 billion cedis to the Ministry of Manpower, Youth and Employment, while the Ministry of Communication had an estimate of 207.682 billion cedis. Estimates for the other Ministries, which were approved by the House were 140.215 billion cedis for the Ministry of Justice; 42.67 billion cedis for the Ministry of Fisheries; 34.064 billion cedis for the Ministry of Women and Children's Affairs, and 7.82 billion cedis for the National Labour Commission.
