In a Facebook post on Monday, October 13, 2025 to issue a disclaimer, Rafik stated, “The public is hereby put on notice to disregard the Al generated videos being circulated by faceless people or sources about Ibrahim Mahama being engaged in any form of investment scheme or cryptocurrency trading.”
He stated that the businessman is not involved in any fake investment schemes or trading, contrary to the claims made in the videos, calling on the public to ignore such claims and posts.
“Ibrahim Mahama is not involved in any form of investment scheme or cryptocurrency trading or business dealings anywhere. As stated in our previous disclaimers on similar activities by scammers, the videos are fake and should be disregarded,” the post read.
Rafik Mahama accompanied his post with screenshots from a Facebook account alleged to belong to Ibrahim Mahama.
The account was posting videos claiming to have launched an investment scheme called AfriQuantumX, urging Ghanaians to invest and support it.
