Inflation for August has slowed to 20.4% from the 20.9% recorded in July 2024.
The Ghana Statistical Service said the marginal reduction in the rate for August 2024 compared to the same month in 2023 can be attributed to a reduction in food inflation.
In August, food inflation decreased to 19.1% from 21.5% in July 2024.
Non-food inflation also increased by 0.7 percentage points to 21.5% in August 2024 from 20.5% in July 2024.
