Investment Promotion Centre To Help District Identify Economic Potentials

Winneba (C/R) 8, The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) has initiated a programme to assist district assemblies to identify and promote investment potentials in their areas. Mr E. M. Gyasi, Chairman of the GIPC, announced this when he met officials of the Awutu-Effutu- Senya district assembly to discuss investment potentials in the district at Winneba today. Mr Gyasi appealed to land owners to release land for the establishment of rural industries to support the assembly's development programme. He asked the people to avoid litigation in order to create the necessary atmosphere to attract investors to the area. Mr Mike Hammah, Deputy Minister of Roads and Transport and MP for Effutu, and Lieutenant Daniel William Osardu, district chief executive for the area, assured Mr Gyasi of their readiness to team up with the GIPC to unearth investment potentials within the district to promote its activities.
