The Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry will soon start doing business with their Iranian counterpart. A memorandum to this effect was signed when a delegation of the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry went to Iran to deliberate on how to promote Ghana's private sector. This came to light at the general meeting of the association in Accra.
The first vice Chair of the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and MP for Nkawkaw,, Seth Adjei Baah, said a $20million credit facility was secured from Iran as well as another $15 million to assist Ghanaian businesses which want to import from Iran.
Mr. Adjei Baah asked members of the associations wishing to take advantage of the credit facility to present business proposals to the association. The President of the Chamber, Wilson Atta Kroffa said because of the changing trends, businesses must engage people with special skills to inject innovation into their jobs.
He said the association is working on options to credit for its members.
