Former President, John Agyekum Kufuor
Aide to the former President has called on Ghanaians to ignore rumours that the former President, John Agyekum Kufour and his wife, Theresa Kufour have tested positive for COVID-19.
Dr. Kwabena Osei Adubofuor in an exclusive interview with Angelonline.com.gh said the former President and his wife are hale and hearty.
Rumours that made rounds on social media indicated that the former first gentleman and the wife are on admission at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) after testing positive for the disease.
But Dr Adubufour said the former president is resting at a location in the Eastern Region.
Several high profile persons and government appointees have tested positive for the disease.
A statement signed by Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah indicated that the President, Nana Akufo-Addo is self-isolating after coming into contact with a COVID-19 positive person.
Health Minister, Kwaku Agyemang Manu who tested positive for the disease is out of the hospital and doing well.
