The Communication Manager of Total Petroleum Company Limited, Edna Kankam has said that business is not only about profit making but investment in the people as well.
According to her, the Total brand has successfully become a household name in Ghana because of its investment in the ordinary Ghanaian.
“Business is not all about making profit but investment in the people,” she said
Total Petroleum Ghana Limited won the marketing campaign of the year with its “Total Troxi Club” which gives commercial drivers discount on every liter of fuel or oil purchased at the just ended 5th Ghana Gas and oil Awards.
The company also won the Excellence in Corporate Social Responsible- downstream.
Reacting to the achievement, Ms. Kankam said, the brand won those Awards because of its commitment to promoting initiatives and projects that are sustainable and can help the economy.
“We launched the Total StartUpper of the year to help entrepreneurs and we also supported this year’s AWCON, to support football, to support women” she said
She said, the achievement only goes to tell how Ghanaians believe in the brand and have accepted it.
“This means that people believe in us, it also means that we are a brand of quality, so this is a farther in our cap and it shows that we can do more and we will do more for the people of Ghana” she said.
Explaining Total’s unique traits in both categories the Communication Manager said “We are in a competitive market, everyone is doing their best to stand out but we believe in quality, we believe in safety, we are a company that is focused on the customer, the environment and we always put our customers first and what can benefit our community”.
