Managing Director of Japan Motors Trading Company Ltd (JMTC), Mr. has established that in looking for a truck of high standard and quality to compliment its Nissan line up the company had to settle on Foton, a leading Chinese truck manufacturer.

Mr. Kalmoni recounted that for several decades Japan Motors was marketing Nissan-Diesel trucks (UD) from Japan until Volvo Trucks bought it over.

Volvo, then decided to concentrate the UD brand to Japan and Asia, and in 2013 terminated its relationship with Ghana and other countries. Japan Motors was on the look-out for a robust and dependable truck to fill the void.

Foton had been marketed for a decade by its Sister company, Modern Auto Services (MAS). As other Chinese vehicle brands MAS imported were found deficient and led to the closure of the company, Foton stood out as the brand that valued quality and cared to support its products globally as such in January 2017 JMTC took over the full distribution of the Foton range of vehicles as a truck of high standard and quality in keeping with the company’s corporate brand.
