.... That Dr. M. Bawumia May Be The Class Prefect Of The Vice President

Ever since our Majority Ghanaian beautiful women appointed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia the class prefect as well as planning to appoint him as the running mate of the NPP flag bearer Nana Addo, some people in the country have started a war, fighting against themselves, without any opponent or enemy "just like wearing a German a military attire, he begins to match alone without any command, like attention! forward match, turn left, turn right and so on."

John Jinapor, Spokesperson for the Vice President, has dismissed assertions that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, a potential running mate to the NPP flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, better appeals to voters, especially women than he (Mahama) saying when it comes to touching base with the people and political leadership, Dr Bawumia pales in comparison.

According to him, though Dr. Bawumia might be an economic guru, he is politically unproven and the only election he might have won in his entire life could perhaps be an election to be a class prefect. John Jinapor further stated that despite Dr. Bawumia's financial expertise, Ghana's economy was nothing good to write home when he was deputy governor of the Bank of Ghana as compared to the Veep's role as chairman of the country's Economic Team.

Speaking on Adom FM on Monday, he posited that comparing the two personalities was like ?putting the cart before the horse? since Dr. Bawumia's political credentials does not measure up to that of his boss, besides he added, "the NPP has not even picked Bawumia as a running mate".

*** That is why I am saying they are fighting without any opponent or emeny, you see, he is saying the NPP has not even picked Bawumia as a running mate! but creating an elephant out of an ant. My people judge it yourself, "Is it that my own dog is biting me or what is hapenning"?

John Jinapor, Spokesperson for the Vice President, responding to a question posed by the host, Adakabre Frimpong Manso, that some say the 'positive differential' between the Vice President and Dr. Bawumia is the fact that he (Bawumia) better appeals to women than Mr. Mahama, the spokesperson for the Veep stressed out that the dynamics in Ghana politics have changed and what matters at the end of the day is results. *** My brothers why can't we restore "our cool" and wait for the results he is talking about?

According to the inflated Jinapro, ?Elections isn't about going on a prowl for women?Excuse me to say?Mr. Mahama is married and living in harmony with his wife?.Let's put aside this talk of appeal to women stuff and let's focus on who can do the job well. One can be ugly or pleasant looking, but what matters at the end of the day, is getting the job done...It is true that one's personal appeal or physical structure can attract some votes but?the dynamics have changed in our elections? We are not perturbed. Besides, even as at now, the NPP hasn't picked Bawumia as a running mate?In 2008, clearly we did very well and a scientific poll indicated that Mr. Mahama didn't only appeal to women but to the working class, to the youth, and not only his appearance, his speech resonated with the youth? He brings something on-board to augment President Mills both in governance and also during the polls,? he said.

*** I ask myself if elections is about married men and women! OR handsome men and beautiful women! I opine strongly Jinapor is psychologically enbracing some inferiority complex somewhere and somehow. We want to vote for president and his vice president and not Mr. or Miss Ghana. Of course a president and his vice who will care for the Ghanaian people and those can come from any responsible members of any political party in the country irrespective of their personal appearances. We need Ghanaian politicians who can PRESIDE over Ghanaians but not those who will "RESIDE" at the office.

He, Jinapor further added that Mr. Dramani Mahama's appeal to voters cuts across the entire nation and not circumscribed to only one region, and maintained that ?leadership is not just about qualification?. *** This is another rubbish! yes of course leadership is about a qualified person, "you can't make a land ploughing horse a race horse."

?John Mahama's strength is one, experience. He has the political experience?.sorry to say this but Bawumia has never won any election as far as I know, maybe as a class prefect or some other post? But when we talk of politics, when we talk of experience, when we talk of touching base with the people, John Mahama is by far ahead of Bawumia. Secondly, leadership is not just about qualification. When we talk of leadership?you must have a certain knowledge across the table..,? John Jinapor said.

*** I think Jinapor is the type who "use to pray NOT in the name of Jesus." It is just like posting a letter without a postal stamp, it will never reach the reciepient and such prayers too from people like John Jinapor which are not done through Jesus Christ may never reach the Omnipotent Almighty God.

My personal believe is "Tall or short", "reaching people or touching people", "a class prefect or a school prefect", "all-die-be die or I will show you where power lies", all what the Ghanaian people need is a caring PRESIDENT and VICE PRESIDENT, period!!! The Ghanaian people are going to mandate their choice through their own votes and not that of Jinapor or "Jinabu" or wahtever. Voting a president or a vice president is not about just marketing some people with empty talks. That was YESTERDAY!

"Let us show maturity in politics and discard the idea of always trying to spraying gas in a bruning fire." Ghanaians have felt enough dust in their eyes and it's now time for recuperation.
